Lively wedding at The Square Club, Bristol – Elaine and Tony

Date: 20 November 2018

The evening party did not stop, and giant pass the pigs to keep guests entertained.

When Elaine and Tony first got in touch with me about their Square Club wedding in Bristol, I was so excited – they were planning a laid back and romantic wedding with an intimate ceremony, roof terrace reception and even giant pass the pigs. Elaine and Tony are the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Getting ready

I turned up at the venue, where the couple and their friends were getting ready, and it was so chilled out, because everyone was in a good mood. Elaine wore a gorgeous tea length dress and Tony wore a striking blue suit and they looked so perfect. They both got ready in separate rooms and I had lots of fun going between their rooms getting photos of both of them.

The vows

The wedding took place in the restaurant space at The Square Club and was a small intimate ceremony. Elaine’s mum walked her down the aisle, which I know meant a lot to Elaine as her dad has sadly passed away. Elaine and Tony smiled at each other throughout the ceremony and there were also some nervous giggles from them both. After the ceremony they were showered with confetti, and then we went and did some beautiful portraits.

The party

The wedding reception took place in the bar area and the roof terrace of The Square Club, which is a lovely and unique space.

It was a bright and sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests enjoyed drinks and giant pass the pigs, the couple mingled and laughed with their friends.

For the meal they had proper wedding grub, and it was absolutely delicious. After the meal they had some wonderful speeches, then everyone hit the dance floor and the DJ kept the floor busy all night. Elaine and Tony decided to not have a first dance which was a first for me, but really suited their day. It also helped everyone to relax and make the most of the fantastic music.

The couple

Elaine and Tony met at Bristol’s international balloon fiesta back in 2014, they got together that Christmas and Tony proposed in 2016. They say if you’re planning a wedding, it’s important to have fun.
